Luis Pajuelo-Revilla is one-and-done.
The former “Contender Series” standout has been released by the promotion in the wake of his submission loss to featherweight up-and-comer Fernando Padilla at UFC Vegas 89 back in March after “Corazon de Leon” was found to be in violation of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy.
Pajuelo-Revilla confessed to using nandrolone.
“Pajuelo-Revilla tested positive for the presence of 19-norandrosterone and Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS) analysis that reflected values consistent with the exogenous origin of testosterone and its metabolites, both anabolic steroids that are prohibited at all times, in a urine sample that was collected out of competition on August 5, 2024, in Lima, Peru,” the promotion said in today’s release.
“A subsequent sample collected from Pajuelo-Revilla on August 21, 2024, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, also tested positive for 19-norandrosterone and IRMS analysis consistent with the exogenous origin of testosterone. Pajuelo-Revilla admitted the use of deca-durabolin (nandrolone) leading up to these sample collections. CSAD determined that an appropriate sanction for Pajuelo-Revilla’s adverse findings is a 24-month period of ineligibility.”
Pajuelo-Revilla, 29, will be unable to compete until Aug. 23, 2026.
Prior to his short stint with UFC, the Peruvian was a mainstay on the international circuit, competing for Fusion Fighting Championship and Shooto Brazil, among other promotions. Pajuelo-Revilla is a prolific finisher, registering seven knockouts in eight wins.
UFC drug testing is administered by Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD).
