Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC) was forced to cancel its grappling main event between UFC bantamweight sensation Umar Nurmagomedov and former Bellator MMA champion Eduardo Dantas, previously scheduled for Fri., Oct, 25, 2024 at Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
That’s the bad news.
The good news is, ADXC was able to replace the contest with the newly-minted headliner between former UFC flyweight contender Muhammad Mokaev and up-and-coming bantamweight sensation Raul Rosas Jr., who will put their grappling to the test just one day before UFC 308, also in Abu Dhabi.
“ADXC isn’t just about competition; it’s a celebration of Abu Dhabi’s steadfast support for athletes,” the promotion said. “We lead the charge with revolutionary martial arts concepts, spotlighting the city as a global sports titan and an engine for international economic growth.”
Nurmagomedov was recently booked to fight Song Yadong atop the UFC Tampa card in December, which may have contributed to the dissolution of his Dantas grappling match. No word yet on what will happen to “DuDu,” who was not rebooked for ADXC,
