Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held its official pre-fight press conference (watch here) on Thursday for the upcoming UFC 309 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is locked and loaded for this weekend (Sat., Nov. 16, 2024) at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

UFC 309 will feature the long-awaited, legacy-defining PPV main event between mercurial Heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, taking on former division roost-ruler, Stipe Miocic. During the heated staredown between Jones and Miocic earlier this afternoon, “Bones” refused to shake Miocic’s hand. Then, when they got face-to-face, Jones warned Miocic, “Don’t talk about my kids,” to which Miocic denied ever saying anything.

Jones mentioned to a reporter during UFC 309’s press conference that his upcoming fight with Miocic is now more personal than ever. That’s because “Bones” allegedly saw a video of Miocic claiming, “his kids will never look at him as an a-hole” and Miocic branded him a “b—tch” during Countdown to UFC 309.

Sorry?

In addition to Jones vs. Miocic, six other PPV main card combatants were on hand today and came face-to-face after UFC 309’s press conference festivities concluded.

That includes former Lightweight kingpin, Charles Oliveira, rematching Michael Chandler, who returns to competition after unsuccessfully waiting for Conor McGregor. And three-time NCAA Division I national champion from Penn State University, Bo Nickal, squares off against “Bear Jew” Paul Craig.
