I guess fans had a right to be concerned after all.
Former UFC two-division champion, Conor McGregor, is currently on trial for alleged sexual assault, a civil proceeding in Dublin’s high court that got underway earlier this month after local prosecutors failed to pursue criminal charges in the wake of this 2018 complaint.
McGregor, 36, continues to maintain his innocence.
During last week’s testimony, the “Notorious” movie star — who remains out of action until late 2025 — admitted to using cocaine and copped to having a bag of the illegal drug on the night of the alleged incident, according to reports by both Irish Star and BBC News.
Cocaine use is not uncommon among UFC’s top stars.
McGregor has four children with fiancée Dee Devlin and professed to having sex with the plaintiff but insists the act was consensual. If the jury rules against the struggling pub owner and Irish real estate mogul, McGregor could be zapped for $2 million in damages.
The civil trial is expected to continue later this week.
