Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is inching closer to its UFC 310 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for this Sat. night (Dec. 7, 2024) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Headlining this weekend’s mixed martial arts (MMA) fight card will be the flyweight title fight pitting reigning division kingpin Alexandre Pantoja against Japanese fighting sensation Kai Asakura. In the UFC 310 co-main event, fast-rising welterweight prospect Shavkat Rakhmonov battles fellow undefeated 170-pound contender Ian Garry.

Not surprisingly, the promotion will roll out its A-team for broadcast and commentary duties.

Longtime play-by-play man Jon Anik leads the cageside charge, alongside color commentary legend Joe Rogan and former UFC two-division champion Daniel Cormier. As usual, “Veteran Voice of the Octagon” Bruce Buffer will handle fighter walkouts while roving reporter Megan Olivi covers pre- and post-fight interviews.

That’s according to MMA Fighting.

Retired UFC lightweight Din Thomas will pop in throughout the show with insight and feedback from a coaching perspective. In addition, Brendan Fitzgerald leads a team of current and former UFC fighters at the analyst desk for all the combat sports chatter in “Sin City.” The UFC 310 “Prelims” air on ESPN2 with opening fights on ESPN+ (order here).

“Everybody’s turning [Rakhmonov] down. 18-0, 18 finishes — that excites me,” Garry said on his YouTube channel. “That doesn’t scare me, that excites me. Everyone in the world thinks the guy is the boogeyman in the division. I’m gonna go out there Dec. 7 and shock everyone else’s world. Because in my world I’m going to beat him.”

“What excites me about this fight is the fact that no one has solved this puzzle,” Garry continued. “No one has solved his jigsaw puzzle and no one has solved mine. And both of us are going to go in there and try and solve each other’s puzzles. And I’m excited for that because it’s something you don’t see a lot in the UFC. We don’t have a lot of elite level competition meeting each other at their undefeated stages in life. So I’m excited for this.”
