It’s better to be safe than sorry.
Cody Durden lost at UFC 310 last night (Sat., Dec. 7, 2024) when surging Flyweight prospect Josh Van scored a dominant unanimous decision from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) company officials confirmed to MMAmania.com that Durden was transported to a local “Sin City” hospital after his bloody loss for a precautionary CT scan of his head and face.
Durden was released Saturday night, but the results are currently unknown. He reacted to his disappointing loss while also revealing he’s dealing with vision problems.
‘Fight game is tough! I couldn’t see anything at some point in the 2nd round after a punch fractured my orbital,” Durden wrote. “Just left the hospital, and I’ll be good soon! Josh Van is the real deal. You won fair n square! Praying my vision comes back to normal soon! Love you all #CustomMade.”

Durden, 33, snapped his two-fight losing streak at UFC Vegas 97 in Sept. when he finished Matt Schnell (watch highlights), but now will have to go back to the drawing board.
Nevertheless, hopefully, “Custom Made” gets his full vision back. The recovery time for a broken orbital bone varies from several weeks to a few months.
