Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently announced its return to The O2 Arena in London, England, for a special mixed martial arts (MMA) “Fight Night” event on Sat., March 22, 2024. While matchmakers have yet to cook up the five-round headliner, two hard-hitting fights just dropped on social media.
Starting with Jan Blachowicz vs. Carlos Ulberg at light heavyweight.
This marks the first bout for Blachowicz (29-10-1) since his decision loss to Alex Pereira at UFC 291, thanks to a pesky shoulder injury. The former champ will have his hands full with the red-hot Ulberg (11-1), winner of seven straight with five finishes.
That’s not all.
Heavyweight hurter Marcin Tybura (26-9) looks to capture his second straight when he goes to war with London’s own Mick Parkin, undefeated at 10-0. The hard-hitting Englishman was last seen stiffening Lukasz Brzeski at UFC 304 last July.
UFC London will also feature the strawweight slugfest pitting Shauna Bannon (6-1) opposite Puja Tomar (5-3). Elsewhere on the card, Christian Leroy Duncan (10-2) looks to make some middleweight noise against Russia’s Andrey Pulyaev (9-2).
Expect more UFC London fight card announcements in the coming weeks.
