And on social media this morning, Shore’s father and coach, Richard confirmed his son had decided to retire from professional mixed martial arts competition with immediate effect.
“It’s been a crazy journey, but my son has decided to retire on his own terms,” Richard Shore posted of his son, Jack Shore on his official X account. “I could not be prouder of him as a man and an athlete. He will join me full time with coaching the next generation of talent. Enjoy @jackshoremma.”
A former undisputed bantamweight champion during his tenure with Cage Warriors, Shore entered the Octagon in the midst of an impressive 11-fight winning spree.
Tipped to potentially challenge for gold in the promotion, Shore would rack up consecutive victories over Nohelin Hernandez, Aaron Philips, Hunter Azure, Liudvik Sholinian, and Timur Valiev, before a submission loss to veteran challenger, Ricky Simon.
In his most recent professional win, Shore stopped Finish contender, Makwan Amirkhani at UFC 286 in March of last year.
