Conor McGregor claims he’s boxing Logan Paul for some bored billionaire in India, which sounds mind-numbingly stupid when you spend more than half a second thinking about it. Then again, I also laughed when “Notorious” insisted he was fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. back in summer 2017, so I guess I can’t rule anything out these days.

McGregor opened as the +120 (6/5) underdog, according to BetOnline.ag, with the PRIME peddler clocking in at -150 (2/3). If and when this fight does get signed — and it probably won’t, considering McGregor is still under contract with UFC — those numbers are likely to fluctuate (in both directions) as the money starts pouring in.

Like McGregor, 36, the 29 year-old Paul also lost a decision to Mayweather after scoring an exhibition bout against “Money” back in 2021. It appears that work was pro bono for Paul, who claims he never got paid by the undefeated “weasel.” In fairness to Mayweather, there’s a lot of that stuff going around these days (just ask this UFC veteran).

McGregor has not competed in combat sports since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier back in summer 2021 … roughly a month after Paul was outclassed by Mayweather. With “Notorious” the harbinger of bad press these days, UFC CEO Dana White does not intend to book the embattled Irishman until some point in late 2025.
