“The Reaper” will not fight this weekend (and he’s not fighting a Crips gang member)
Multiple sources confirmed to MMAmania.com today (Mon, Jan. 13, 2025) that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight Sedriques Dumas is out of his scheduled UFC 311 fight against Zachary Reese. Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) Middleweight champion Azamat Bekoev will step in on five days’ notice to face Reese.
4oz to Freedom was the first to report the news.
Reese (8-1) is riding a two-fight win streak leading into his UFC 311 fight. Unfortunately, he snapped his 100% finish rate in his last outing when he defeated Jose Media via unanimous decision. Before the Medina fight, “Savage” finished every single opponent in under five minutes – five by knockout and two by submission.
Bekoev (18-3) enters UFC as the LFA Middleweight champion. The Russian won the interim LFA championship against Dylan Budka, unified the title against Lucas Fernando, and then defended it once against Chauncey Foxworth. Bekoev is riding a six-fight win streak and holds a 77% finish streak with eight submissions and six knockouts.
With the addition of Reese vs. Bekoev, here is the finalized UFC 311 fight card.
