Bo Nickal has anointed himself Town Crier and insists the rematch is coming.
The undefeated middleweight recently told his YouTube followers that Ilia Topuria vs. Alex Volkanovski 2 was official for the upcoming UFC 314 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., April 12, 2025 at Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
So much for that Diego Lopes fight.
“It’s official,” Nickal said. “I know for a fact. I don’t know that it was announced for a fact, but I know it’s happening for a fact. I’m announcing it.”
“I might fight on that card,” Nickal continued. “That’s the card I’m trying to fight on: April, Miami.”
Nickal (7-0) is coming off a decision victory over Paul Craig at UFC 309.
Topuria (16-0) captured the featherweight title by defeating Volkanovski (26-4) at UFC 298 in Anaheim, then defended the belt by stopping Max Holloway at UFC 308. The well-rested “Great” has not competed since his “El Matador” loss early last year.
The promotion has yet to make any kind of announcement for the UFC 314 card but is expected to do so in the coming days.
