*** Du Plessis smashes Strickland’s nose for lopsided decision – HIGHLIGHTS! ***
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) delivered UFC 312 TONIGHT (Sat., Feb. 8, 2025), streaming LIVE on ESPN+ PPV from inside Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia. UFC 312’s pay-per-view (PPV) main event was a rematch for UFC’s Middleweight title with Dricus du Plessis facing Sean Strickland, the man he wrested the belt from one year ago.
The co-main event had the women’s Strawweight title on the line with Zhang Weili defending her 115-pound belt against the oft-injured, but always very good, Tatiana Suarez.
Rounding out the second PPV of 2025 was Justin Tafa vs. Talisson Teixeira, Jimmy Crute vs. Rodolfo Bellato and Jake Matthews vs. Francisco Prado.
UFC 312’s “Prelims” had lots of local interest. That portion of the card was headlined by the impressive Jack Jenkins, taking on Gabriel Santos. Tom Nolan — another Aussie prospect — was on the “Prelims,” too. He fought Viacheslav Borshchev.
