Valter Walker is not welcome in Australia.

“The Clean Monster” was a part of the UFC 305 pay-per-view (PPV) event last summer in Perth, where he secured a submission (heel hook) victory over hometown hero Junior Tafa. Unfortunately, a post-fight altercation led to a skirmish with Team Tafa that prompted angry MMA fans to take matters into their own hands.

“When I was about to leave the arena, the UFC stopped me and said there were like 40 people waiting for me outside the hotel,” Walker told MMA Fighting. “I couldn’t go back to the hotel. They moved me to another hotel to get some rest and then bought me a new ticket and I left that same day. I wanted to stay for another day, but had to leave Australia because they were waiting for me outside the hotel. It’s just a sport, man. I went there to fight and they’re being unfair.”

Tafa, 28, rebounded by stopping Sean Sharaf at UFC Vegas 98.

The 27 year-old Walker (12-1) makes his return to the Octagon against heavyweight hurter Don’Tale Mayes (11-7, 1 NC) as part of the upcoming UFC Vegas 102 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, locked and loaded for this Sat. night (Feb. 15, 2025) at APEX in Las Vegas.
