The lightweight – the son of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture, who was in his corner – used a versatile attack to set up an eventual third-round TKO victory over Conor Heun.
The preliminary-card bout kicked off “Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey” at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. It aired on Showime Extreme prior to the Showtime-televised main card.
