After last Friday’s live “The Ultimate Fighter: Live” elimination matches, to see which sixteen fighters made it into the “TUF” house, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has suspended one of the winners for a laceration suffered during the live telecast.
Lightweight Jeremy Larson was slapped with a suspension until April 9th, with no contact until March 31st for a cut he received to his scalp in his one-round bout versus opponent Jeff Smith.
Larson could be cleared as soon as March 16 if given the go ahead by a physician but his future on the reality series appears to be up in the air at this time.
UFC president Dana White hinted earlier today on Twitter (@DanaWhite) that “something bad” had already happened on the “TUF” reality series. He may have been referring to Larson’s suspension or some other issue.
– Just landed in Vegas from TUF Brazil and something bad has already happened on TUF here so on my way to the training center.
I guess we’ll find out this Friday when episode two of this seasons “TUF” reality series show airs on FX at 10pm EST/PST.
