With Bellator Fighting Championships second season six event set to take place this evening, CEO Bjorn Rebney is expected to announce a television deal which will bring Bellator’s brand of mixed martial arts into the homes of Brazilians fans.

Tatame.com is reporting that Bellator has signed a deal with Esporte Interativo, with the television network announcing the deal in Brazil today.

The new deal starts with tonight’s Bellator 61 event, featuring the opening round of the middleweight quarterfinals which includes four Brazilian fighters of the eight competing in the tournament.

The network reaches approx. 20 million homes but is “not that big on the ‘main cities’ like Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.”
