Press Release – A grandiose tournament in MMA PROFC 40 will take place in the Sport Palace “Volgograd” on April, 1, 2012 at 18:00pm “Volgograd Time” / 10:00am ET “New York Time” LIVE on Internet Pay-Per-View “iPPV” at www.GFL.tv.
It opens the series of championships of PROFC League of 2012 year.
The organizer of the event is Professional Fighting Championship PROFC.
The titled professional fighters of MMA from Russia, Ukraine, England, Germany, Brazil will participate in the tournament. Volgograd city will be represented by athletes of the fight club “Stalingrad”.
The central events of the evening will be 3 main fights:
Shamil Abdurahimov (Russia) – Jerry Otto (Germany)
Perhaps it is the most expected fight of the whole event. Two heavyweights will meet on the ring. Shamil Abdurahimov is the champion of the world in MMA, one of the strongest fighters of the post-Soviet countries, included in the Top-10 of the best heavyweights of Europe. He has a lot of wins over such distinguished fighters as Jeff Monson, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Marcos Oliveira. Jerry Otto is the rising star of the German MMA, who became famous after winning the legendary Gary Goodridge.
One more combat is going to be at the middleweight class:
Beslan Isaev (Russia) VS Fibricio Nacimiento (Brazil)
Two brilliant and skilled fighters, both have about 20 splendid wins.
An exclusive female combat of the tournament:
The champion of Russia in hand-to-hand fighting, the prize-winner of Russia in judo – Milana Dudieva, who is included in the Top-5 of the best MMA fighters of Europe, will meet the experienced striker from England, Daniel West. Both athletes came in MMA from judo.
Altogether at the tournament “PROFC 40” will be 10 exciting MMA fights.
Fight championship PROFC 40 will be live broadcasted at the federal tv-channel “Rossiya-2” and at a new satellite channel VGTRK “Boytsovskiy club”.
