Bellator Season Six welterweight semi-finalists David ‘The Caveman’ Rickels (14-4-2) and Karl ‘Psycho’ Amoussou (14-4-2) have had their bout rescheduled for another date.
Instead of meeting this Friday at Bellator 67, the two fighters will instead meet in just under three weeks at Bellator 69.
News of the change was announced by MMAjunkie.com who was informed of the change by sources close to the combatants.
Bellator 69 is scheduled to take place on May 18, 2012 at the L’Auberge du Lac Casino Resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Rickels earned a 22-second finish in the tournament quarterfinals a month ago at Bellator 63, stopping opponent Jordan Smith by knockout for ‘The Caveman’s’ tenth straight victory. Rickels remains undefeated in his career and has appeared twice in a Bellator cage.
Amoussou dropped down to welterweight for Season Six and won a first round submission versus Chris Lozano at the same Bellator 63 show on March 30. It was ‘Psycho’s’ very first bout at welterweight, having won a 175-lbs catchweight bout last November in his previous match.
