LAS VEGAS – UFC officials have billed Friday’s five-round non-title fight between Martin Kampmann and Jake Ellenberger as a title-eliminator.
Of course, with the welterweight division in a state of disarray due to champion Georges St-Pierre lengthy knee recovery, such a title shot could be nearly a year away.
Ellenberger got into MMA to be a world champion, but if he gets by Kampmann in Friday’s main event at The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale, he doesn’t want to idly sit on the sidelines.
