After a string of negative news, here’s a welcome change for the UFC: all 24 UFC 146 passed their steroid and drug tests, according to Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer.
Kizer announced the news Friday afternoon.
UFC 146 was originally supposed to feature Junior dos Santos vs. Alistair Overeem for the UFC heavyweight title, however, after Overeem failed a surprise drug test in March for elevated levels of testosterone, Frank Mir was bumped up to face JDS. As a result, the all-heavyweight card faced a series of changes, however, in the end, the card turned out to be one of the best of the year. The five heavyweight fights on the pay-per-view lasted just 22:50 combined, highlighted by dos Santos defeating Mir via second-round TKO.
Below is a list of all the fighters who passed their steroid and drug tests.
