Hector Lombard didn’t stay opponent-less for long. The newly signed UFC middleweight was knocked out of a UFC on FOX 4 main event slot after an injury struck his oppponent Brian Stann. Instead, he’s been moved, with the UFC pairing him off with Tim Boetsch in a bout set for UFC 149 in Calgary.

Unfortunately, that bit of booking news is offset by yet another injury, as Boetsch was made available after his previously scheduled opponent Michael Bisping withdrew from their proposed bout with an undisclosed injury.

With the change, Lombard’s debut will actually be moved up two weeks, as UFC 149 takes place on July 21, while his originally scheduled date at UFC on FOX 4 is set for August 4.

The Cuban is 31-2 with 1 no contest in his career, and hasn’t lost in his last 25 fights, a stretch that dates back to November 2006.

Boetsch has gone unbeaten since moving to middleweight, going 3-0 during that time with wins over Kendall Grove, Nick Ring, and most recently, Yushin Okami. He is 15-4 overall.

The UFC did not offer any specifics on the injury to Bisping, or any timeline on when he might return.
