This is the UFC on FX 4 undercard live blog for the Maynard vs. Guida event from Revel Casino in Atlantic City.
There will be eight fights on the undercard. Hatsui Hioki vs. Ricardo Lamas, Ramsey Nijem vs. C.J. Keith, Steven Siler vs. Joey Gambino, Rick Story vs. Brock Jardine, Nick Catone vs. Chris Camozzi, Matt Brown vs. Luis Ramos, Dan Miller vs. Ricardo Funch and Ken Stone vs. Francisco Rivera will be featured on the UFC on FX 4 prelims.

Ken Stone vs. Dustin Pague
Round 1: A bantamweight bout. Pague is fighting on two weeks’ notice, having submitted Jared Papazian at UFC on FX 3. Gasper Oliver is your referee. After a cautious first minute from both fighters, Stone misses with a wild spinning back first. Still standing two minutes in, still in the feeling-out process, Stone throwing the occasional 1-2 combo. Pague starting to find his range, connects with a right which knocks Stone backwards, but not down. Pague’s inside leg kick misses the target and Oliver calls a time-out. Back in action. Pague with a leg kick and Stone counters with a right. Pague connects with another shot late. Close round. MMAFighting scores the round for Dustin Pague, 10-9.
Round 2: Stone goes for a takedown in the opening minute. Pague defends it, and they’re in a prolonged clinch along the fence. A minute later, Stone still working from the clinch, but Pague’s got his underhooks in. Ref breaks it with 2:45 left. Back to center Octagon. This time, Pague’s on the wrong end of a low blow. Back at it after about a minute break. Pague connects with a spinning back fist. Stone answers with a combo. One minute left. The fighters trade low kicks. Another close round. Round 3: Opening minute looking a lot like the first two rounds. Stone goes for a takedown about 90 seconds in, but ultimately Pague gets the takedown. Stone quickly gets Pague’s back in the scramble, though, then ends up in Pague’s guard. Just under two minutes left, still on the ground, Stone trying to create space for offense to some success. Last 30 seconds, Pague is back to his feet but still pinned to the fence by Stone. They hit the ground in the last 10 seconds and are back up. Dan Miller vs. Ricardo Funch
Round 1: Miller, the New Jersey native, is making his welterweight debut. Funch is looking for his first UFC win in four tries. Big Dan Miragliotta is your third man in the cage. Miller uses a combo to set up a high kick in the opening minute. Miller getting the best of their early exchanges, and checks a Funch kick for good measure. Another 1-2 combo followed by a kick from Miller. In the clinch with Miller along the fence, with Funch connecting with a couple knees. Miller gets a body lock, reverses position, tries a takedown, but Funch reverses position and they trade knees in the clinch. Quick takedown by Miller, they’re right back up, Miller moves forward but Funch answers with punches. Back to a positional battle along the fence. Miragliotta breaks them with 30 seconds left. Both guys winging punches late, Funch getting the better of it. MMAFighting scores the round for Ricardo Funch, 10-9.
Round 2: Miller opens up with a flurry of punches out of the gate, pushes Funch backward, then gets Miller in a standing guillotine. Funch escapes and hits several short elbows which stunned Miller. Action-packed sequence. Miller again gets a standing guillotine, but Funch again escapes. Clinching along the fence, Funch looks for a takedown opportunity, but Miller gets another guillotine as they hit the mat. Funch escapes, Miller looking for a heel hook. Miller still looking for the hook. Funch finally gets to safety. A standing Funch lands several punches to the downed Miller. Miller lands an upkick. Both fighters back to their feet and once again in a clinch battle. Thirty seconds left, Miller again with a standing guillotine as the round ends. Very compelling action in round two. MMAFighting scores the round for Dan Miller, 10-9 (19-19 overall).
Round 3: Miller drops Funch a minute in with a big straight counter. Miller follows up and opens up in Funch’s guard. Back on their feet 90 seconds in. Miller gets the best of the standing exchanges as Funch wobbles backwards. Funch, though, regains his bearings and they end up doing fence work with Miller clinched against the cage. Midway through the round. Miller with a standing guillotine, gets it to the mat, sinks it in tight, and Funch taps.

Matt Brown vs. Luis Ramos
Round 1: Welterweight bout. Gasper Oliver is your referee. Ramos active in the opening minute with kicks and one-off punches. Brown goes for a high kick. Ramos body locks him against the fence. Ramos eventually gets Brown to the ground. Brown back to his feet, but Ramos is still all over him, pinning him against the fence. Two minutes in. Ramos with an elbow off the break and we’re back in center Octagon. Two minutes left. Brown has a cut by his right temple. Ramos again has Brown pressed against the fence with a minute left. MMAFighting scores the round for Louis Ramos, 10-9.
Round 2: Half-minute in, Ramos with a flurry that back Brown into the cage, then Ramos goes for a single-leg. Gives up on it, but the clinch battle continues. Back out to the center, Ramos lands with a left hand, a leg kick and another left. Brown with a trip and a Muay Thai clinch. Ramos comes out of it with a bloody nose. Brown picking up the pace, Ramos slowing down. Both guys breathing hard. Brown finding a home with his jab. Brown lands several knees, a trip, Ramos back up, Brown mixes up his knees and elbows. Ramos buys time with a double-leg attempt on the fence. Brown landing knees again with a minute left. Ramos wobbly but standing. Brown pours it on and Oliver waves the fight off. Brown improves to 3-0 in 2012.

Nick Catone vs. Chris Camozzi
Round 1: Middleweight matchup. Dan Miragliotta your ref. Early scramble ends with Catone connecting on an uppercut. Catone with a double leg, Camozzi defends it, and Catone goes for a knee off their clinch. Catone with a right and Camozzi answers with a running knee. Positional battle along the fence. Back to center Octagon with two minutes left. Camozzi connects with a jab. Catone with a combo, followed with a kick. Another kick by Catone. One minute left. Catone with a single-leg, finally scores a takedown on his third attempt of the round. Catone lands a couple elbows in Camozzi’s guard. Strong finish to the round seals it for Catone. Round 2: The taller, lefty Camozzi connects with a combo early. He rushes in and Catone counters. Clinch along the fence and Catone lands an elbow off the break. More clinch work midway through the round, Camozzi against the cage. Catone throws a couple uppercuts and we’re back out to the middle. Camozzi sprawls a takedown attempt and lands a knee. Catone cut along the nose. Catone with a single, sticks with it and ultimately scores the takedown. A stalemate for awhile, but Catone lands a couple punches late. Round 3: Camozzi drills Catone with a knee over the left eye early and lands several elbows, which opens a big cut over Catone’s left eye. This looks like a fight-changer. Catone lands a right. The bloody Catone goes for a takedown but can’t land it. Back to their feet, Camozzi lands a knee, which opens Catone up further. Miragliotta calls timeout and has the doctor check the cut, which is bleeding into Catone’s eyes. The fight gets waved off and Camozzi is your winner.

Steven Siler vs. Joey Gambino
Round 1: Featherweight fight, Kevin Mulhall your referee. A knee off the clinch by Siler opens a cut right between Gambino’s eyes. They end up back along the fence and Siler goes for a standing guillotine. They trade on the break, Gambino catches Siler, but Siler ends up in side control on the ground. Looks like we’re en route to either a finish or a 10-8 round. Siler gets Gambino’s back and transitions to a guillotine. The bloodied Gambino taps. Siler’s now 3-0 in the UFC.

Rick Story vs. Brock Jardine
Round 1: Welterweight bout. Big Dan is once again your official. Not much doing in the opening minute. Story throwing occasional left hands. Story with a quick high crotch and a takedown. Story mountsJardine’s back, locks the legs, but isn’t quite in position for a choke. Story improves his position but still doesn’t have a sub attempt. Two minutes left. Jardine escapes, and we’re back to standing. Story picks his sports and occasionally lands with the left. Story scores a high kick right before the horn. MMAFighting scores the round for Rick Story, 10-9.
Round 2: Jardine throws too looping of a right hand, which enables Story to score a takedown. Jardine on his knees, Story nearly gets his back. Jardine back to his feet. Story lands a high kick, Jardine again throws too wide a right hand and Story again gets him to the mat. On the ground, two minutes left. Story working to get his back. Jardine almost scrambles out of it, but Story keeps the pressure on. Back to their feet. One minute left. Another takedown by Story late. MMAFighting scores the round for Rick Story, 10-9 (20-18 overall).
Round 3: Jardine shows urgency early, but ends up on the mat. Story persistent in looking for a takedown. Back on their feet a minute in. Two minutes gone, both guys starting to gas. Story gets Jardine in position for a guillotine, Jardine escapes. Standing again. Spinning back kick attempt by Jardine hits Story in the groin. Brief time-out. Two minutes left. Jardine again ends up on the ground after an exchange. Standing again. Wash, rinse, repeat. Another ground sequence ends with Story trying to position Jardine for an armbar.
