Just like the first time around, Rich Franklin and Wanderlei Silva took home ‘Fight of the Night’ honors for their back-and-forth brawl at the main event of UFC 147. Both men, who met previously at UFC 99 to similar results, earned $65,000 in post-fight bonus money for their performance.

Franklin was nearly finished in the closing moments of round two, yet the American miraculously made it to the bell and proceeded to retake the momentum over his winded foe, ultimately claiming the judges’ decision.

“When that kinds of stuff happens, you remember bits and pieces,” Franklin joked afterward. “My coach told me not to get greedy, to pick my punches. I thought I did a good job of that. I was operating on autopilot.”

The remaining post-fight bonuses went to hometown fighters, as TUF Brazil contestants Rodrigo Damm and Marcus Vinicius each earned $65,000 for their undercard victories.

Damm submitted Anistavio Medeiros via rear-naked choke in two minutes to cash in a ‘Submission of the Night’ award, while Vinicius bruised his way to a third-round TKO finish of Wagner Campos to take home ‘Knockout of the Night’ honors.
