LAS VEGAS – Saturday night’s UFC 148 event drew an announced attendance of 15,016 and a live gate of $7 million – a new live gate record for the venue and a UFC record in the United States.
UFC president Dana White announced the figures at the night’s post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie.com attended.
UFC 148 took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and featured a second-round TKO victory by middleweight champion Anderson Silva over Chael Sonnen in the pay-per-view headliner.
