Fighters gathered at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Oregon for today’s official weigh-ins for the Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy event.
A total of eighteen fighters stepped onto the scales with Strikeforce middleweight champ Luke Rockhold and Lorenz Larkin, who makes his 185-lbs debut, failing to make weight. Both fighters weighed in 0.5-lbs overweight for their bouts, with Larkins making weight on his second attempt and both Kennedy and Larkins made weight on their second attempts.
Rockhold is scheduled to defend his title against Tim Kennedy (184.5) in the main event of the SHOWTIME televised event, which goes down at the same venue tomorrow night.
The co-main event has welterweights Tyron Woodley (169.5) and Nathan Marquardt (169.5) squaring off for the vacant Strikeforce welterweight title.
