Dana White slipped in a bombshell announcement during a “scrum” with reporters after Saturday’s post-event news conference in Los Angeles.
While answering a question about B.J. Penn and Rory MacDonald agreeing to pre-fight drug testing through the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA), White dropped the surprise, saying, “It’s not going to happen – Rory’s out.”
MacDonald brought Penn out of retirement for the fight, which was scheduled for Sept. 22 at UFC 152 in Toronto. But the next battle apparently will be for when and where the fight is rebooked.
