It’s been a roller coast ride of a year for Jon Jones.
The UFC’s light heavyweight champ, arguably the No. 2 pound-for-pound fighter on the planet, had more spotlight on him than ever before, fought a former friend in the most heavily promoted grudge match in MMA history, had a previously sterling reputation tarnished with a DWI arrest and guilty plea and, most recently, signed a landmark (at least in MMA terms) endorsement deal with Nike.
UFC President Dana White said his champ seems to be holding up fine through the ups and downs.
