NOTTINGHAM, England – UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones’ arm injury isn’t as bad as originally thought – though it’s not as if he’ll be trotting back out to the octagon again this calendar year.
Jones this past Saturday hurt his right arm early in his title defense against Vitor Belfort at UFC 152 in Toronto when the challenger caught him in an armbar.
But the injury, UFC President Dana White said, appears to have a better prognosis than what was thought right after the fight.
