Eight fighters joined UFC® President Dana White at the UFC® on FUEL TV post-fight press conference: Stefan Struve, Stipe Miocic, Matt Wiman, Dan Hardy, Jimi Manuwa, Gunnar Nelson, Brad Pickett, and Robert Peralta.
Pickett took home Knockout of the Night for his first-round starching of Yves Jabouin. “One Punch” lived up to his nickname, landing an uppercut that sent Jabouin crashing to the mat. With the win, Pickett improves to 2-1 inside the Octagon™.
Wiman was awarded Submission of the Night for his first-round win over the previously unbeaten Paul Sass.. After an early Sass takedown, Wiman attempted several submissions from his back, before securing the fight-ending armbar.
Fight of the Night went to headliners Struve and Miocic. After a (very) brief feeling out period, the two heavyweights engaged in a back-and-forth battle that was contested mostly on the feet. Once the much taller Struve found his range in the second round, he unloaded a barrage of uppercuts that had Miocic out on his feet.Referee Herb Dean stopped the fight late in the round, awarding Struve the TKO victory.
All bonused fighters received $40,000 for their efforts.
