Press Release – John Alessio (34-16) will headline Aggression Fighting Championship 13 in Victoria BC November 3rd at the Bear Mountain Arena against Dave Mazany (10-4). “The AFC and John Alessio have been speaking about this opportunity for years and now it has finally come to fruition. He has a huge fan base here and we are extremely happy to announce him as the AFC 13 main event in Victoria, BC on November 3rd. It just makes Natural sense” says promoter Jason Heit.
John Alessio has fought for many of the major MMA promotions, including the UFC, WEC, PRIDE, DREAM and now the AFC. “I am super pumped to fight back where it all began, in Victoria, where I haven’t fought since 1998. I can’t wait to put on an exciting fight for the AFC.” Alessio now based out of Las Vegas was originally from Vancouver Island where his return will surely ignite his hometown fans.
Kendall Grove will co-headline a stacked AFC?13 card. Grove will be fighting on for the first time on Canadian soil and is excited to put on a show for the fans. “All I hear is good things about this AFC promotion. “Da Spyder” was a mainstay in the UFC for 5 years after bursting onto the scene after winning Season 3 of the Ultimate Fighter under the coaching of Tito Ortiz. The Hawiian native went 7-6 fighting in the worlds biggest promotion facing the best middleweights on the planet. He will now look to make an impact in Canada’s biggest promotion the AFC.
