A broken arm has forced Jorge Rivera out of his UFC 118 bout with fellow middleweight Alessio Sakara.
Rivera first announced the news via his Facebook page, though UFC
officials have not removed the bout from the official fight card. MMAjunkie.com
confirmed the change with a source close to the event, who said he was
aware of the injury.
With ample time, UFC officials likely will search for a replacement,
though without Rivera (a cast member on “The Ultimate Fighter 4”), the
bout potentially could lose its spot on Spike TV’s “UFC Prelims”
broadcast.
