This is the UFC on FUEL TV 8 undercard live blog for the Silva vs. Stann event at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitana, Japan.
There will be five fights on the undercard. Riki Fukuda vs. Brad Tavares, Takeya Mizugaki vs. Bryan Caraway, Cristiano Marcello vs. Kazuki Tokudome, Alex Caceres vs. Kyung Ho Kang, and Marcelo Guimaraes vs. Hyun Gyu Lim will be featured on the prelims.

Marcelo Guimares vs. Hyun Gyu Lim
Round 1: Referee Thomas Fan oversees the action. Guimares wades forward. Lim defends the takedown. Lim connects with a counter right then wards off another takedown. Lim establishing his jab early. Two more takedown attempts fail in rapid succession for Guimares. Lim eats a big uppercut. Lim finds a home for his jab then defends another takedown attempt. Solid right hand for Guimares. Leg kick from Lim. Thirty seconds left. Lim launches a flying knee. Guimares catches it and finally muscles Lim down to the mat. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Lim.
Round 2: Lim opens with a leg kick before pumping his jab. Guimares answers with a few jabs of his own. Front kick to the midsection pushes back Lim. Lim defends a takedown then connects with a flurry. Big knee crushes into Guimares. Lim easily rebuffs another lazy takedown attempt. Guimares opens up with punches then drags Lim to the floor. Guimares moves into half guard. Lim stands. Guimares works a double against the cage, but he can’t get it. Guimares tosses out a few wild overhand rights. Guimares ducks and gets utterly smashed by a standing knee. Talk about an abrupt finish.

Alex Caceres vs. Kyung Ho Kang
Round 1: Herb Dean is our referee. Caceres lunges inside with a superman punch. Kang dodges, then clinches and trips Caceres to the mat. Kang briefly stands, connecting a sharp kick to the thigh before jumping into side control. Caceres slips out and retakes his feet. Kang ducks under a punch, seizes Caceres’ back and slams him down. Kang working from half guard. Caceres reestablishes his guard. Kang stands. In a flash Kang is again latched onto Caceres’ back. Kang slams down. Caceres reverses to top postion before standing. Kang trips him back down. Caceres reverses. Slick grappling from both fighters. We’re back on the feet, and Kang wades forward with a straight right. Kang eats a pair of high kicks. Stiff right hand backs up Caceres. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Kang.
Round 2: Kang agressive early, secures a takedown and advances into side control. Caceres works back to half guard. Kang moves back into side control, back Caceres quickly regains his guard. Caceres slips out and stands. Both fighters trade right hooks. Caceres defends a takedown and muscles Kang against the fence. Caceres trips Kang, but Kang winds up in top position after a scramble. Kang stands and nearly eats an upkick before jumping back into guard. Kang whirls around and looks to take Caceres’ back. Caceres escapes, stands, and connects with an ax kick before lunging into Kang’s guard. Kang retakes his feet and tosses Caceres to the floor. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Kang.
Round 3: Right hook lands flush for Caceres. Kang catches a kick and looks to throw Caceres. He slips and Caceres takes advantage. Caceres raining down punches from top position. Caceres hunting for a guillotine. Kang fights it off but he’s still in a bad spot. Caceres connects with a knee to the body, then what looks to be an illegal knee to the head. No action from Dean. Kang reverses position. Kang stands, works for a standing head and arm choke, then pulls guard. Caceres follows him down. Puzzling decision from Kang. Caceres advances into mount. Forty seconds left. Triangle attempt fails for Caceres, but he’s still pouring it on. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Caceres.

Cristiano Marcello vs. Kazuki Tokudome
Round 1: Referee Thomas Fan oversees the action. Marcello misses a high kick. Both fighters trade leg kicks. Huge right hand cracks Tokudome. Marcello lunges inside and unloads a flurry. Tokudome responds with a big counter. We have a brawl on our hands, folks. Tokudome eats a straight right. Tokudome paws out his jab then a leg kick. Marcello slips and Tokudome jumps into his guard. Blood dribbles out of Marcello’s nose. Marcello unleashes a few elbows from the bottom. Tokudome avoids an armbar then resumes his work from guard. Upkick crushes Tokudome but he’s unfazed. Tokudome defends a leglock and winds up back into guard. Tokudome postures and lets loose with a flurry. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Tokudome.
Round 2: Marcello quickly finds himself on his back, with Tokudome working from side control. Marcello regains his guard. Tokudome unloads a series of left hands. Tokudome staying active from the top, working short punches and maintaining stifling position. For some reason Fan stands the fight up. Marcello charges forward. Not a single punch lands but it’s enough for Marcello to close the distance and drag Tokudome to the mat. Tokudome works to his feet. Marcello eats a right hand. Wild right hand cracks Tokudome. Another exchange ends the round. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Tokudome.
Round 3: Marcello fires from inside the pocket. Tokudome responds and floors Marcello with a big punch. Tokudome follows Marcello to the floor and unloads a salvo. Marcello trying to stay alive. Tokudome unable to finish, and it looks like Marcello has his wits back. Tokudome working short punches from the top. Marcello sweeps and stands. Marcello paws out his left hand then fires a kick to the body. Flying knee fails for Tokudome as Marcello takes his back. Tokudome muscles out then slams Marcello to the canvas. Tokudome pressuring Marcello from the top. Flurry of upkicks from Marcello miss their mark. Tokudome in control to end the round. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Tokudome.

Takeya Mizugaki vs. Bryan Caraway
Round 1: Marc Goddard is our referee. They touch gloves and we’re off. Caraway unloads a huge overhand right. It misses and Mizugazi fires back with a straight counter. Caraway ducks under and clinches against the fence. Caraway briefly hunts for a single, but Mizugaki fights it off. Caraway fails to secure a trip and Mizugaki winds up on top. Caraway squirms out. And with that, the prelims stream shuts off. Sorry, folks. Okay, we’re back with a minute left. Caraway closes the distance and secures a double. Caraway whirls and seizes Mizugaki’s back. Mizugaki desperately clutching Caraway’s wrist to save his position. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Caraway.
Round 2: Mizugaki opens up early. Caraway responds with a leg kick. Mizugaki pummels Caraway with a left hook to the body. Caraway changes levels and works for a single. Caraway transitions to a double but Mizugaki is defending well. Caraway powers through it. Mizugaki grabs the fence to save himself. No word from Goddard. Caraway fires off a right hand. Mizugaki answers with a body shot. Caraway keeping his hands low, grazes Mizugaki with an overhand right. Huge shot drops Mizugaki. Caraways immediately jumps into a guillotine. Mizugaki fights it off, but Caraway has his back. Caraway locks up a body triangle and starts hunting for a rear naked choke. Caraway nearly advances into mount, but winds up in half guard. Short elbow from Caraway. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Caraway.
Round 3: Miesha Tate tells Caraway he can coast through the final five minutes. Risky advice in a fight so close. We’re back and Caraway connects with a pair of left hooks. Mizugaki fires back. Huge left hook cracks Caraway. Caraway on wobbly legs. Mizugaki starting to open up. Caraway sloppily changes levels, but it’s no good. Mizugaki lands another left hook. Caraway closes the distance then unloads a few short uppercuts to the jaw of Mizugaki. Mizugaki lunges inside with a flurry. Caraway in deep on a single against the fence. Mizugaki defends. Caraway still in tight, but he’s eating knees to the midsection while he looks for the takedown. Mizugaki relentless with short elbows. Caraway disengages. Big exchange closes the round. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Mizugaki.
