Rising UFC women’s star Paige VanZant became the newest Reebok-sponsored athlete this week, and the No. 10-ranked strawweight showcased exactly what makes her so marketable when she announced the news.VanZant posted a video of her dancing in celebration on Instagram, and UFC President Dana White said that’s what makes her so marketable.

Anderson Silva jumped a spot to No. 8 past UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw in the pound-4-pound rankings in this week’s official UFC rankings release after winning by unanimous decision against Nick Diaz at UFC 183.
Surprisingly, Diaz, who has gone the distance against Silva and welterweight legend Georges St-Pierre in his last two fights, still does not appear on the official rankings.
The Stockton native received five votes at 170 and two votes at 185. However, neither collection of votes were enough for Diaz to even sniff the top 15.

Anderson Silva hit pads and grappled with teammates for about an hour just outside the sports book in the MGM Grand casino on Wednesday afternoon to officially kick off fight week with the UFC 183 Open Workouts.
Fans clamored for just a glimpse of “The Spider,” who is fighting for the first time since breaking his leg against Chris Weidman at UFC 168. Men, women and children were almost climbing on top of each other to reach their cell phones high enough to snap a picture or shoot a few seconds of video.
