Thiago Silva is officially back in the UFC just a day after charges stemming from a domestic dispute back in February were dropped by Broward County prosecutors in Fort Lauderdale, TMZ Sports reported on Thursday.
UFC President Dana White said that Silva would never again fight inside the Octagon shortly after he was arrested. But White had a change of heart and confirmed Silva’s return to UFC.com.

It’s been a whirlwind week for UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis – and it’s only the beginning.

After being unable to compete at UFC 177 because of an injury suffered while cutting down to 135 pounds, former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao has fallen in the latest release of the UFC official rankings. Current women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey supplanted Barao in the No. 8 spot on the pound-4-pound list.

Shortly after UFC president Dana White walked into his office at Zuffa headquarters on Wednesday, two PR executives approached the boss “looking like somebody just killed their f**king dog,” White explained.

While Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping seem determined to settle their differences inside the Octagon this year, UFC president Dana White has other plans.
The UFC boss told UFC.com that the fight the company is looking to book is Rockhold vs. former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida. White also said the fight could take place in Brazil.
