UFC 115 Betting Odds Best Bets

We haven’t found as much betting value for UFC 115 as we did for 114, and there’s been very little line movement in general. Regardless, here’s a couple bets we’d look at making from a value perspective.

We haven’t found as much betting value for UFC 115 as we did for 114, and there’s been very little line movement in general. Regardless, here’s a couple bets we’d look at making from a value perspective.

:: Having said that there’s been little line movement, Bodog has actually shifted Rich Franklin from an opening -150 to a current -125. BetUs still has Franklin at -145, so if you’re picking Franklin, get the better payout at Bodog here. If you think Chuck Liddell can pull the upset, grab him at +115 here.

That’s about it. As far as where some of our money is going, we’re Tyson Griffin fans, and his -220 at Bodog is the best we can find, so we’re grabbing him here.

Gl, all. Watch MMA Live’s thoughts on UFC 115 in the above vid.

A-Team Movie Reviews Pretty Solid

The A-Team Clip
As you are painfully aware at this point, the A-Team (pretty badass clip above), starring our man Rampage Jackson, opens today.
Not a lot of buzz surrounding the flick, so we were anticipating brutal A-Team movie reviews.
Not so much the case.

Not so much the case.

On Rottentomatoes.com, the flick has so far earned an almost “fresh” 53% rating. And Ew.com gives it a B+, with it’s critical mass rating of an overall B score.

Forrest won’t give any info about who he wants to fight next (he says it’s because “I’m a cripple and I might lose”). Fair enough.

Watch Frank Mir Talks WEC at the UFC Expo on RawVegas.tvWe’ve probably said this 100 times, but Frank Mir (along with Forrest Griffin) is among our interviewees. Always solid.

We caught up with Rashad Evans at MGM Grand’s Tabu Ultra Lounge in Las Vegas for his UFC 114 after-party.

On the red carpet, Evans said he believed that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson “underestimated” him in the fight. And after almost getting knocked out in the third round, Evans said that Rampage “had his chance and blew it” after putting him on “queer street” (haven’t heard that term in awhile, nice usage there, Sugar).

Watch the full interview above or here.

Evans is now slated for a UFC Light Heavyweight title shot against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

MMA ring girl Stephanie Ann Cook has nothing to do with UFC 114 betting odds…

Here’s one last take at some UFC 114 betting odds before the fights tonight.

Chad Millman of ESPN Insider (read here if you have an Insider account) wrote about how Vegas wiseguys see the card and where the value is at.

On Rampage Jackson vs. Rashad Evans:

“…This fight was supposed to happen a year ago, and back then, [Rampage] would have been about a minus-170 favorite. Now, no one knows what kind of shape he is in….Plus, fighters [like Evans] with good wrestling technique always have a little bit of an advantage: He can lay a guy down and win pretty easily. Between the two, Evans is the better wrestler.”

On Diego Sanchez vs. John Hathaway:

“…Sanchez got beat by B.J. Penn in his last fight — absolutely whupped — and he is moving up in weight class for this fight. Meanwhile, Hathaway, who is from England, is undefeated…Some people see an opportunity with Hathaway because he has a better reach and is more of a ground fighter. In the end, though, I think Sanchez will be relentless [and win the fight].”

On Amir Sadollah vs Dong Hyun Kim:

“…Kim hasn’t lost and Sadollah is an up-and-comer within the UFC. He won ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ a couple years ago, but they have been taking it slow with him. This is a real step up in competition. The money has been coming in on Sadollah because he is more well-known, so I think there is a lot of value on Kim here. In fact, he is my pick for the fight. That is my upset. If Sadollah is not on that show [‘Ultimate Fighter’], Kim is probably the favorite.”

If you agree with that last take, bet on The Dong here.
