• Demian Maia def. Dan Miller (via unanimous decision).
• Paulo Thiago def. Mike Swick (via D’Arce choke submission) at 1:54 of Round 2.
• Chael Sonnen def. Nate Marquardt (via unanimous decision).
• Randy Couture def. Mark Coleman (via rear-naked choke submission) at 1:09 of round 2.

A quick updated on UFC 109 betting odds before the fights:

:: Lots of public money going on Nate Marquardt. His line started at -350 on BetUs and has since moved to -500. While we think Marquardt will win this fight, there’s definitely some value on Sonnen now.

:: On the other end of the spectrum, there’s been practically no movement on the Randy Couture vs. Mark Coleman line. We still like Couture at -400. We also like the over of 2 1/2 rounds at -260 on BetUs.

:: And Matt Serra has moved up to a -150 favorite, which is probably where he should’ve started. We still like Serra to win this fight and would take that bet, but if you liked Frank Trigg at +105, then you should really like him at +120.

While we’re huge Jay Hieron fans, we’re pretty sure he’s not the main reason for the increased draw.

In our latest MMA Fix, we caught up with Frank Trigg (+105) at the Cobra Kai gym to talk UFC 109 and Matt Serra (-135).

Trigg, who has a surprisingly full head of hair that he can grow into a fro, says that the trash-talking between him and Matt Serra is “all out of respect” (and then goes on to call Serra an “oompa loompa”). Our favorite jab is when Trigg says that Serra is like Snookie from Jersey Shore.
