World Series of Fighting crowns its first featherweight champion on Dec. 7 in Vancouver, Canada, as Rick Glenn and Georgi Karakhanyan fight for the inaugural 145-pound title at WSOF 7, the promotion announced Tuesday.

WSOF 7 takes place at PNE Agrodome in Vancouver and is headlined by the light-heavyweight contest between UFC and Strikeforce veterans Anthony Johnson and Mike Kyle. The night’s main card airs on NBCSN at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Undefeated over the last 12 bouts, Glenn (14-2-1) has 12 stoppage victories and is 2-0 under the WSOF banner, giving the first career losses to Alexandre Pimentel and Artur Rofi.

Four years older than Glenn, Karakhanyan (22-3-1) scored a first-round submission victory over UFC veteran Waylon Lowe in his WSOF debut last September, increasing his win-streak to eight, including five first-round stoppages.

“Anyone who’s seen Rick Glenn and Georgi Karakhanyan fight knows what kind of exciting, dynamic athletes they are in the cage,” WSOF president Ray Sefo stated in a release. “These two have proven themselves as the top two fighters in our 145-pound division, and I can’t wait to see them meet for our first-ever featherweight belt.”

WSOF 7 also features the return of Nick Newell, in a lightweight contest against Sabah Fadai, and the middleweight tournament semifinal between Elvis Mutapcic and Jesse Taylor.
