John Dodson will face newcomer Darrell Montague in the Octagon at UFC 166 in Houston on Oct. 19.
The event is headlined by a third clash between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos for the heavyweight championship.
Dodson returns to the cage nine months after suffering a unanimous decision loss to Demetrious Johnson for the flyweight title. The loss snapped “The Magician’s” 5-fight win streak, including knockout victories over T.J. Dillashaw and Jussier da Silva.
Montague, a 13-2 prospect in the flyweight division, makes his Octagon debut riding a four-fight winning streak. His only loss in his last 11 was against Ian McCall on 2011. The other loss happened on 2009, when he faced Robbie Peralta, who currently fights at UFC’s 145-pound division, at Gladiator Challenge.
