UFC light heavyweight Thiago Silva ha sfailed his UFC on FUEL TV 6 postfight drug screen.

UFC officials today announced that Silva tested positive for marijuana
metabolites and has been suspended six months and ordered to take part
in drug rehab program.

Silva competed in the co-main event of the Nov. 10 event and earned a
third-round TKO victory of the previously unbeaten Stanislav Nedkov.

Brazilian grappling ace Raphael Assuncao has
replaced an injured Bryan Caraway and now faces Mike
Easton at UFC on FOX 5.

MMAjunkie.com learned of the change from sources close to the fighters.

UFC on FOX 5 takes place Dec. 8 at KeyArena in Seattle. The
Assuncao-Easton bantamweight fight is expected be part of the
Facebook-streamed preliminary card following additional preliminary
bouts on Facebook and prior to the night’s main card on FOX.

The UFC’s first event of 2013 has had a lineup for several weeks, and now it has a location.

UFC officials today released an official event poster for the card that revealed Sao Paulo’s Ginasio Estadual Geraldo Jose de Almeida, also known as Ginasio do Ibirapuera, plays host to the Jan. 19 event, dubbed “UFC on FX 7: Belfort vs. Bisping.”

The night’s main card airs in the U.S. on FX and features a five-round  headliner between Vitor Belfort and Michael Bisping.

UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator veteran Aaron Rosa
is scheduled to make his professional boxing debut on Nov. 30.

Rosa is slated to meet Dominique Smith, who also makes his professional
debut in the four-round heavyweight (more than 200 pounds) matchup.

The bout takes place on the undercard of Standing 8 Promotions’
“Mid-Cities Mayhem” event, which takes place at Hurst Conference Center
in Hurst, Texas.

Erick Silva said he was hoping to fight on Super Bowl weekend, and now he will.

UFC officials today announced that Silva will take on Jay Hieron at UFC
156, the UFC’s traditional Super Bowl-weekend fight card.

Featuring a featherweight title fight between current champ Jose Aldo
and former lightweight title holder Frankie Edgar, UFC 156 takes place
Feb. 2 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The evening’s main
card airs on pay-per-view.
