While bookmakers have pegged MMA pioneer Renzo Gracie (13-6-1 MMA, 0-0
UFC) is as a massive underdog in his UFC 112 matchup with fellow legend
Matt Hughes (43-7 MMA, 16-5 UFC), the Brazilian welterweight is
confident he’ll bring pride back to his family’s name.
After all, Gracie remembers well the night in 2006 when Hughes earned a
dominating first-round TKO over Royce Gracie, Renzo’s cousin.
Now Renzo believes it’s time for a little payback.

And most people would probably also consider rushing into a burning
building for a living a bit risky, as well.
Not James Hammortree (5-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC). He does both.

While Nick Ring is undoubtedly hoping to secure the vaunted “six-figure
contract” up for grabs in “The Ultimate Fighter 11,” the undefeated
Canadian fighter doesn’t need it to survive.
For ring, fighting is about the purity in competition. The financial
reward is just an added bonus.
“I can’t hold down a real job,” Ring told MMAjunkie.com. “I am lazy.”

Where Sadollah was able to claim victory in the seventh season of “The
Ultimate Figher” with zero pro fights to his name, Kyacey Uscola will
now try his hand at the 11th edition with nearly 50.
And while some veterans may feel like the added experience means they
have a target on their back, “Ice Cold” said it just makes him the
favorite.
Call him the anti-Amir Sadollah.
