Al Iaquinta’s consolation prize Friday wasn’t so bad.

The lightweight won a pair of bonus awards for performances on the inaugural season of “The Ultimate Fighter Live,” joining castmates Joe Proctor and Myles Jury with post-season bonuses.

The awards, $25,000 each, were announced during Friday’s TUF Live Finale on FX – just before Iaquinta was choked out by underdog Mike Chiesa, who became the latest winner of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

LAS VEGAS – Whether or not Martin Kampmann parlays his latest victory into a title shot, he’s proven he has the durability to survive all kinds of trouble.

In what was billed as a No. 1 contender’s bout, Kampmann overcame an early knockdown from Jake Ellenberger and ultimately scored a second-round win via knockout.  

The welterweight bout headlined The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale. It was part of the FX-televised main card, which followed prelims on FUEL TV and Facebook.

LAS VEGAS – “The Ultimate Fighter: Live” got its too-good-to-be-true storybook ending.

After losing his father in the first few days of the UFC’s long-running competition-reality series, Mike Chiesa submitted Al Iaquinta in the finale of the 32-man lightweight tournament.

The bout took place at The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The fight crowned the winner of “TUF: Live,” the first live season of the reality competition and the 15th overall installment of the show.

LAS VEGAS – He found an opponent willing to trade strikes with him, but Charles Oliveira ultimately got the victory.

The former lightweight continued his successful arrival in the featherweight division and tapped out “The Ultimate Fighter 12” winner Jonathan Brookins via second-round guillotine choke.

LAS VEGAS – Pat Schilling looked for an early takedown against Max Holloway. When he couldn’t get it, the fight was virtually over.

Holloway dominated Schilling on the feet while peppering him with body shots that continued to take any wind out of his sails, and he cruised to a unanimous-decision victory.

The featherweight fight took place at The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. It aired on the FX-televised main card following prelims on FUEL TV and Facebook.
