Not long after news that DREAM was alive and well and planning a New Year’s Eve event in Japan, that show has gotten an upgrade.

Now the DREAM event next month will be combined with the GLORY 4 Tokyo Heavyweight Grand Slam kickboxing show that had been planned for earlier in December.

The new show, “DREAM 18 and GLORY 4 Tokyo – New Year’s Eve Special,” takes place at 4 p.m. (2 a.m. ET) in Tokyo on New Year’s Eve. Additional details, including broadcast specifics, are expected soon.

The UFC’s “Primetime” series was back Friday, featuring the upcoming welterweight title unification bout between Georges St-Pierre and Carlos Condit.

The second episode of “UFC 154 Primetime: St-Pierre vs. Condit” now is available to view online following its premiere on FX.

UFC 154 takes place Nov. 17 and features 170-pound champion St-Pierre vs. interim champ Condit in the main event to unify their titles.

MACAU – The Ultimate Fighting Championship on Saturday continued its global expansion, particularly in Asia, with its first event in China.

And after the fight card, the company announced plans to break further into the Asian market, this time in Indonesia with a partnership with the Jakarta-based MNC Media.

And with that partnership, the UFC also expects eventually to hold events in Indonesia, likely first in the capital city of Jakarta. Indonesia is home to roughly 238 million people.
