MACAU – Saturday’s UFC on FUEL TV 6 card drew an announced attendance of 8,415 fans for a live gate in excess of $1.3 million.

UFC officials announced the figures at the card’s post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie.com attended.

“UFC on FUEL TV: Franklin vs. Le” took place at CotaiArena in Venetian Macau Resort Hotel. It was the UFC’s first event in China. The main card aired on FUEL TV following prelims on Facebook.

MACAU – The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be back in Asia in four months with a return to Japan.

Following Saturday’s debut event in China, UFC Executive Vice President and Managing Director of UFC Asia Mark Fischer said the promotion will hold an event in Japan on March 3.

The event will take place at Saitama Super Arena, just north of Tokyo.

MACAU – Cung Le, Thiago Silva, Takanori Gomi and Mac Danzig each earned $40,000 bonuses for their performances at Saturday’s “UFC on FUEL TV: Franklin vs. Le” event.

Le won the “KO of the Night” bonus, Silva earned the “Submission of the Night” award, and Gomi and Danzig picked up “Fight of the Night” honors.

UFC officials announced the winners and bonus amounts following the event, which took place at CotaiArena in Venetian Macau Resort Hotel.

MACAU – While Hollywood may be calling, Cung Le still has something left for the cage.

In the headliner of the UFC’s first event in China, the former Strikeforce champion made quick work of ex-UFC champion Rich Franklin with a one-punch knockout.

The middleweight bout took place at Saturday’s UFC on FUEL TV 6 event at CotaiArena in Venetian Macau Resort Hotel. It aired on FUEL TV following prelims on Facebook.

MACAU – It wasn’t very pretty, but Thiago Silva got the job done.

After two rounds of dealing with Stanislav Nedkov’s dirty boxing clinch game, Silva seized on an opportunity to take his opponent down, then submitted him for his first win in more than three years.

The light heavyweight bout was the co-main event of Saturday’s UFC on FUEL TV 6 event at CotaiArena in Venetian Macau Resort Hotel. It aired on FUEL TV following prelims on Facebook.

MACAU – In what felt like a home game in front a friendly crowd, Dong Hyun Kim continued his move back into title contention with a hard-fought victory over Paulo Thiago.

The Korean threatened with submission attempts but ultimately settled for a lopsided unanimous-decision victory. 

The welterweight bout was part of the main card of Saturday’s UFC on FUEL TV 6 event at CotaiArena in Venetian Macau Resort Hotel.
