The NBA’s Sacramento Kings will honor a hometown sports star on Tuesday with “Urijah Faber Day.”

The Kings host the Detroit Pistons at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, Calif. (7 p.m. PT), and fans purchasing a pair of tickets worth at least $40.50 receive a free Urijah Faber hoodie. Additionally, the first 500 get the Form Athletics hoodie autographed by the former champ.

Faber isn’t the first WEC fighter to be honored by a local sports team, but WEC executive Reed Harris said it’s well-deserved.

Sidelined by traveler’s flu, Ben Rothwell camp hopeful for UFC 115 slot with “Cro Cop”

Ben Rothwell remains in Australia as he recovers from an illness that forced his withdrawal from a UFC 110 main-card bout this past weekend in Sydney.

Duke Roufus, owner of the Milwaukee, Wis.-based Duke Roufus MMA and one of Rothwell’s chief trainers, told today MMAjunkie.com that his fighter was diagnosed with a case of “traveler’s flu” that made him unable to fight Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic at the Feb. 20 event.

However, Roufus remains optimistic that Rothwell will get his shot at “Cro Cop” and hopes that UFC 115, the promotion’s first trip to Vancouver, will play host.
