As expected Spike TV returns with a “UFC Prelims” broadcast next month and airs UFC 111 fights of Matt Brown vs. Ricardo Almeida and Nate Diaz vs. Rory Markham.
MMAjunkie.com previously reported that UFC and Spike TV officials planned to showcase the two preliminary-card fights during the live broadcast, and Spike TV today made it official.
The one-hour special precedes the pay-per-view main-card airing of UFC 111, which takes place March 27 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

The weigh-ins take place at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and are free and open to festival attendees.

Volkmann today announced the fight via his Twitter account, though Ultimate Fighting Championships officials have made no official announcement.
With the main card of the March 31 Spike TV event already full, Volkmann vs. Torres is likely to be part of the preliminary card of the show, which takes place at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, N.C.

After striking a co-promotional agreement with the Madison Square Garden company, Bellator Fighting Championships will head to Boston’s Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre and the Chicago Theatre for upcoming shows, the promotion today announced.
The shows take place in seasons two and three of Bellator, which begin in April and August, respectively.
Chicago hosts Bellator 14 (April 15) and Bellator 26 (Aug. 9), Boston hosts Bellator 17 (May 6), and Bellator 35 (Oct. 21) will be hosted at one of the two sites.
