The main card is set for next month’s UFC Fight Night 21 card.

As MMAjunkie.com reported earlier today, the March 31 event features a headliner of Kenny Florian vs. Takanori Gomi and a co-headliner of Roy Nelson vs. Stefan Struve.

Also announced for the main card were previously reported matchups of Nate Quarry vs. Jorge Rivera and Ross Pearson vs. Dennis Siver. The UFC also confirmed Cole Miller vs. Andre Winner, Yushin Okami vs. Lucio Linhares, and Caol Uno vs. Gleison Tibau for the preliminary card.

Newly crowned Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz and Robbie Lawler, who scored a stunning come-from-behind win over Melvin Manhoef, each earned an event-high $100,000 payday at this past weekend’s “Strikeforce: Miami” event.

MMAjunkie.com recently requested and today received the list of disclosed paydays from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, which oversees the Florida State Boxing Commission.

The total disclosed payroll for the Jan. 30 event was $469,600.

World Victory Road officials today announced three bouts for their next event, Sengoku Raiden Championships 12, and notable competitors include middleweight title-holder Jorge Santiago and former EliteXC bantamweight champion Wilson Reis.

The event, which airs on HDNet in North America, takes place March 7 at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.

Santiago takes on Mamed Khalidov in a rematch, Reis meets Yuji Hoshino, and Shigeki Osawa meets fellow featherweight Kyung Ho Kang.

One finger made Rex Ryan $50,000 poorer.

The National Football League’s New York Jets today fined its head coach for flipping off a few hostile fans at this past weekend’s “Strikeforce: Miami” event.

he apologized for the bird-flipping, which a fan caught on a cellphone
camera and distributed to the media.
