After brief falling out, UFC’s Drew McFedries back with Pat Miletich’s camp

Following some less-than-flattering comments about his team during a post-UFC 98 press conference, UFC middleweight Drew McFedries learned he had been kicked out of Pat Miletich’s legendary camp in Bettendorf, Iowa.

McFedries’ words and subsequent dismissal caused a stir in 2009, but Miletich today said things have been smoothed over.

While a guest on today’s edition of MMAjunkie.com Radio, the longtime fighter, trainer and broadcaster said McFedries has rejoined the team and that all troubles are in the past.

“TUF 10” champ Roy Nelson meets Stefan Struve (not James Toney) at UFC Fight Night 21

A heavyweight bout between “The Ultimate Fighter 10” winner Roy Nelson (14-4 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and fast-rising contender Stefan Struve (19-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC) is set for next month’s UFC Fight Night 21 event.

A source close to one of the competitors today told MMAjunkie.com bout agreements have been signed for the long-rumored bout.

Nelson posted a Twitter message earlier today that he had been granted a fight with boxer James Toney, though MMAjunkie.com confirmed it’s simply the latest prank from “Big Country.”

The Florida State Boxing Commission issued medical suspensions to eight fighters from this past weekend’s “Strikeforce: Miami” card, and each of the defeated main-card fighters faces suspensions ranging from 30 to 60 days.

MMAjunkie.com recently requested and today received the list of medical suspensions from Florida’s regulatory body.

“Strikeforce: Miami” took place Jan. 30 at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., and aired on Showtime.

The event took place on Jan. 30 at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla.

A replay of “UFC 107: Penn vs. Sanchez,” which Spike TV aired to counter-program the Strikeforce show, drew 2.2 million viewers and was the top-rated cable program of the day among men 18-34 and men 18-49.

The fighter arrivals were scheduled for today at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, which also hosts Saturday’s pay-per-view event.

Instead, fans are invited to Thursday’s pre-event presser, which takes place at 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. PT local time).
