When company officials initially revealed Herschel Walker’s opponent for next week’s “Strikeforce: Miami” event, few fans were familiar with the name Greg Nagy.
Apparently, oddsmakers – who recently tapped Walker a 5-to-1 favorite – weren’t all that familiar with Nagy either.
But as the Rage in the Cage veteran today told MMAjunkie.com Radio, Nagy isn’t worried about the oddsmakers or anyone else who isn’t getting him ready for the Jan. 30 Showtime-televised event.

Like Nick Diaz, DREAM welterweight champion Marius Zaromskis said he’s just doing what he’s told.
Zaromskis shrugged his shoulders at the idea that he was stepping ahead in the Strikeforce welterweight line. Name brand or not, if there’s an opportunity to win a title, he’ll take it.
On Jan. 30, Zaromskis (13-3 MMA, 0-0 SF) tries to add a second belt to his mantle when he takes on Diaz (20-7 MMA, 2-0 SF) at next week’s “Strikeforce: Miami” event, which airs live on Showtime.

Tonight’s “Strikeforce: Miami” event benefitted greatly from the Strikeforce-DREAM alliance with a main event and welterweight title fight between Strikeforce’s Nick Diaz and DREAM veteran Marius Zaromskis.
But what other Strikeforce-DREAM matchups do fans hope to see in 2010?
That’s the question we asked in a recent “Inside MMA”/MMAjunkie.com poll, and two bouts ran away with the majority of the vote.
