Live on Saturday, April 3, 2010 the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada will host Hopkins vs. Jones Jr.  Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins (50-5-2-1) will meet Roy Jones Jr. (54-6).  The two fighters originally met in the ring back in May of 1993, with Jones Jr. winning a unanimous decision.  This fight would have more excitement behind it had it taken place some years ago.  Now both fighters are over 40 years old and we will not witness a rematch with there full potential behind it.  The stock in this fight fell even more as Roy Jones Jr. was defeated by Danny Green via first round TKO back December.  Hopkins is coming off  a two fight win streak over Kelly Pavlik back in 08′ and Enrique Ornelas in December both via unanimous decision.  I think this is Hopkins fight to lose, “The Executioner” has more fight left in his body and I believe he would like revenge with a KO.  But I see him beating the counter puncher Jones via unanimous decision.  Although is someone does win by T/KO the purse is split 60/40 instead of 50/50.

Live on Saturday, April 24, 2010 The Arco Arena in Sacramento, California will Host WEC 48.  The Main Event of the night brings us the current WEC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo (16-12) against the “California Kid” Urijah Faber (23-3).  Jose Aldo has just demolished all the WEC has put in his way.  Since joining the WEC in June of 2008,  Aldo has T/KO’d all six of the opponents he has faced.  Urijah Faber defended the WEC Featherweight title five times before losing the belt to Mike Brown in November of 2008. Faber did get a rematch with Brown, which he did lose via unanimous decision.  In his last fight he looked very sharp in submitting Raphael Assuncao via rear naked choke.  Will Aldo once again dispose of another opponent or Will we see the hometown hero Faber win back his belt?

Live on Saturday, April 17, 2010 The Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee will host Strikeforce “Nashville”.  The Main Event of the evening pits Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Jake Shields (24-4-1) taking on newly acquired MMA legend Dan Henderson (25-7).  Shields is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Jason “Mayhem” Miller back in November.  While Dan Henderson is coming off one of the best KO finishes MMA fans have witnessed, when he took out Michael Bisping at UFC 100.  Henderson is naturally a much bigger man than Shields and most people think he will run right through him.  You can never count out Shields slick submissions, but can he take down and keep Henderson on the mat long enough to work a sub.

This card also features two more title fights.  Second we have Strikeforce LHW Champion Gegard Mousasi (28-2-1) taking on King Mo Lawal (6-0).  The two have been trading verbal jabs for sometime now and will soon get the chance to settle it in the cage.  Third title fight sees Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Gilbert Melendez (17-2) going up against Dream Lightweight Champ Shinya Aoki (23-4-0-1).  This will be Aoki’s first fight in the States, can he pull off another submission victory or will Melendez prove to be too much.
