Polk St. – (3) lanes closed from Crawford St. to Labranch St.
Labranch St. – (3) lanes closed from Dallas St. to Hadley St.
Bell St. – (2) lanes closed from Jackson St. to Labranch St.  

During events there will be no left turns allowed from Polk St. onto Labranch St.

TORONTO – Following its historic inaugural April event, the Ultimate Fighting Championship® returns to Toronto to host a press conference on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. ET as tickets for UFC® 140: JONES VS. MACHIDA go on sale to the general public on Saturday, Oct. 15. UFC® light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and former champion Lyoto Machida will be joined by UFC® President Dana White and Canadian Director of Operations Tom Wright at Air Canada Centre.

The 1 p.m. press conference will be open to the public while the UFC® will also hold a special fan autograph session for Jones and Machida at Real Sports Apparel from 5 to 6 p.m., located within Maple Leaf Square at 15 York Street. (Please note – this event is on a first-come, first-serve basis – one autograph per fighter per person.)

Tickets for UFC® 140: JONES VS. MACHIDA go on sale to the public on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. ET. Members of UFC® Fight Club™ will have the first chance to buy tickets on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. ET, followed by UFC newsletter subscribers on Friday, Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. ET. Fans can sign up for the UFC® Fight Club™ at www.ufcfightclub.com. Ticket prices will be announced early next week.

Edgar headlines UFC 136 in a second rematch with Gray Maynard, this one for rights to the lightweight belt. Garcia faces Nam Phan in a rematch of their controversial 2010 bout on the main card of UFC 136 on Saturday.

Former WEC champ Pettis takes on tough Jeremy Stephens on the Spike prelims of the same card. Lauzon fights lightweight contender Melvin Guillard on the UFC 136 main card.

Yamamoto has agreed to enter the Octagon to take on dangerous submission
specialist and new UFC signee Darren Uyenoyama.

UFC president Dana White also revealed that hard-hitting featherweights Ricardo Lamas and Cub Swanson are also slated for the event. “Swanson’s last bout was Fight of The Night and Lamas is coming off another spectacular knockout,” said White.

UFC on Fox Gets a Headliner Title Fight updated September 2
If the UFC’s intention was to make an unforgettable first impression in
its first outing on Fox, the organization has certainly done its part,
with UFC President Dana White announcing today that the November 12th
event on the network will be a world heavyweight title fight between
champion Cain Velasquez and number one contender Junior dos Santos.

The
highly-anticipated clash between the two best heavyweights in the world
will take place at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.


Bout Set for First Fox Fight Night updated August 18
Two exciting featherweight prospects, Dustin Poirier and Pablo Garza, have verbally agreed to fight each other on November 12.

Garza is coming off of two spectacular UFC finishes — one flying-knee KO and a flying triangle submission. Poirier is looking to stay undefeated in the UFC with his aggressive slugging style that earned him wins at UFC 125 (against then-top contender Josh Grispi) and UFC 131 as well as a 53-second KO in the WEC.

Las Vegas, Nev. (USA) – When the overwhelming demand for event tickets for UFC® 137: ST-PIERRE vs. CONDIT resulted in an immediate sellout, the Ultimate Fighting Championship® and Mandalay Bay needed to create the next best thing to being inside the Events Center. Thus, the companies announced today that they will host a closed circuit viewing event with large projection screens in the South Seas Ballroom at Mandalay Bay on Saturday, Oct. 29.

UFC® 137: ST-PIERRE vs. CONDIT features the can’t-miss welterweight title fight between champion Georges St-Pierre and knockout artist Carlos Condit, as well as former two-division champion BJ Penn battling the fiery and unpredictable Nick Diaz. Tickets for the closed circuit viewing party are $50 and go on sale TODAY at 10 a.m. PT. “Bisping and ‘Mayhem’ spent the last few months as TUF coaches and they really got on each other’s nerves,” UFC President Dana White said. “On Dec. 3, the talking finally ends and these two will go at it inside the Octagon. There’s a lot at stake in this fight. Not only do they get to settle their feud, but they get to prove that they belong in the mix to fight Anderson Silva.”

Winner of season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter®, Michael “The Count” Bisping (fighting out of Manchester, England) is one of the most successful products of the longest running sports reality show on television. Riding consecutive wins over Dan Miller, Yoshihiro Akiyama and Jorge Rivera, the 32-year-old now has his sights set on dominating his opponent on Dec. 3. Knowing a win puts him in contention for a title shot, the motivated Brit Bisping (22-3) seeks his fourth straight against a foe who has pushed his buttons for the last time.

“Jason is one of those guys that you either love him or you hate him,” Bisping said. “I definitely don’t like him. I think most people around him find him very, very annoying. I know people on The Ultimate Fighter did and I was no different. On Dec. 3, I’m going to kick his ass.”

A charismatic performer in and out of the Octagon®, Jason “Mayhem” Miller (fighting out of Los Angeles, Calif.) returns to the UFC on a two-fight winning streak. The 30-year-old’s next task is besting Bisping, and after months of trading verbal jabs on TUF, he’d like nothing more than to shut him up when the two collide at the Palms.

“I definitely got under his skin during the season,” Miller, who owns a record of 34-8 with one no contest, said. “We hate each other’s guts at this point and on Dec. 3, we’re going to get in the cage across from each other and settle it. I’m excited for this fight.”
